Melanie Pitcher

My name is Melanie Pitcher and Dr. Sarraf has been tending to my childrenʼs health care needs for two years. Dr. Sarraf is educated and passionate, has a caring and nurturing soul perfect for the needs of children, is an attentive listener, and is knowledgeable in available community services and resources.

My boys, William and Matthew are now 4 1/2 and 2. Dr. Sarraff has seen my youngest, Matthew, since birth. He has successfully taken on his care from circumcision to acid reflux. Dr. Sarraf saw my oldest son , William, at 2 years old for a checkup. At that time William had an extremely limited verbal ability and Dr. Sarraff recommended that we enroll him in a program to enhance his socialization skills. At 2 1/2 we agreed Williamʼs speech still wasnʼt where it should have been for his age. With Dr. Sarrafʼs guidance and knowledge of local services and resources paired with two months of testing, William was diagnosed with profound speech delay. With the information Dr. Sarraf provided, we located and enrolled my son in a program designed to treat children with special needs. Admittance to this program is based solely on the childʼs need, financial means have no bearing on admittance. Williamʼs program is an intensive 5 day a week, 5 hours per day which includes daily speech therapy . William entered this program at age 3 with an unusually limited amount of verbal skills and now his progress to this point is amazing. Iʼm proud to say my son not only has won Student of the Month but also, in December 2008, was able to call my name, Mommy, for the first time Dr. Sarraf helped me help my son find his voice! I donʼt have enough words to convey my love and gratitude for Dr. Sarraf and the support he has given us, but it will be eternal.

Sending a lifetime of gratitude,
Melanie Pitcher
